There’s no keeping a good Sith down.
Somehow it’s been 20 years since Revenge of the Sith thrilled us all for the first time (I’m not old. You’re old). And now – in the spirit of Star Wars celebrating big anniversaries with cinema re-releases – Episode III will be gracing our multiplexes once again!
As per the statement on Star Wars.com…
“Episode III will be re-released in theaters on April 25, 2025, running in select U.S. theaters and international territories for one week only. Screenings will be available in several formats, including, for the first time, 4DX.”
Hopefully this means it will also be on the big screen here in the UK. Even though I was lucky enough to see it at my local cinema just last year, it’s a great film that contains several of my favourite moments in the saga. Any opportunities to see it as Lucas intended are always welcome!
To celebrate the re-release, superstar artist Matt Ferguson created the epic (and suitably dark) widescreen poster you can see above – which he also re-formatted for this kickass vertical version:

As excited as I am? I don’t blame you. To help you keep that Revenge of the Sith buzz going, check out this post on why Anakin vs Obi-Wan is one of John Williams’ best.
See you at the popcorn stand!
